Following! I, too, am eager to see how best to attach it.

The Harbor Freight ad states it has a magnetic base as well as screws and a stick-on pad for different types of installations. My question is whether it would be safe for computerized machines. I've seen lots of discussions about magnets possibly being harmful to these machines, and am very careful with my Berninas. Could some of you weigh in on this? Otherwise, the lazer sounds great and I would l would like to have one.

I am with you. Can't figure out how to get it together and I paid $13 for mine on Amazon.

My question has to do with the actual laser. Would it be safe for someone with a pacemaker and or what harm might it do to your chest area when it goes past the fabric? Wanted to give one to a friend but she has a pacemaker and another friend has had breast cancer. Sure wouldn't want to complicate health problems.

Attached are two pictures of the laser light I have attached to my machine. I don't know what to say about pacemakers or cancer survivors except to check with your doctor. I have the light mounted to the front of machine and take it off when not using. Not sure how much "magnetic juice" goes thru the rubber sticky circle that came with the light. Guess you can check with your dealer. In the picture the laser is not exactly lined up with my stitching. It can be adjusted to get the exact stitching line. I just took a quick picture.

I can't open the pictures either. Sounds like a great idea!

I do mostly straight line quilting, so the laser light sounds perfect. The only precaution I've read about is not to look directly at the light.

Emmy, I think it would work great for that. I found it very helpful and really sped up the process.
