That is lovely! I was taught to be wary of the weather. When someone else is miserable they tend to want to steal your thunder! Use your umbrella, and don't ever give it another thought!

I can't believe this customer meant it in a rude way, I mean she was interested in the pattern in the first place! It's a great quilt and you should be proud of it.

I love the subtle gradations of color and the ribbon effect. The black just makes it pop, and you did a great job.

That's beautiful ! I did a similar Jinny palette quilt a number of years ago.
People can be so obnoxious! I once read a post by someone who showed a lovely quilt and one of the comments was "What an ugly quilt!" I couldn't believe it! Other posters blasted her with good reason. It was a lovely quilt and a nasty comment!

It’s a lovely quilt. It can be hard to shake off negativity. I don’t understand why people need to make rude comments.

I'm sorry that lady was so mean to you! Good for you for finally finishing! It's a lovely quilt, and whoever receives it will be very happy.

I love this quilt, I'm going online to look for the pattern. Thanks for posting your quilt.

I think the expression is supposed to go like this, " You got more than what you paid for." It is a joke to make you laugh and feel you got a deal beyond what it was worth. She screwed up the expression and it has you all bothered. Don't give anyone the power over you to make your life miserable. Ever. Give yourself a good laugh at them and move on. Life is too short to be that easy to be shaken over a mistake. Forgive the whole thing and have a laugh. You are stronger than you think.
The quilt is fun and any artist would be intrigued by it. I am. It is wonderful pallet spread out for anyone to enjoy.
