    I sew the scraps onto an interfacing so the interfacing becomes the lining, no raw edges. I overlock the seams. I didn’t make the dresses to wear, just for display and to try out making wearable quilting projects instead of quilts.

    That's the way I make my jackets. I do stitch and flip if I can and then quilt them a bit when I'm done with the piecing. I do wear my jackets. They're so much fun and I get lots of compliments. My favorite is "I love your jacket. Where did you buy it?". When I say I made it, they're amazed like no one can actually make anything anymore.
