I read a blog not long ago where the quilter put the Glad Press and Seal on Minkee before cutting it to keep the fuzzy away and while sewing it. I doubt that would work for hand quilting though. The best way I found to get rid of the fuzz is to put it in the dryer with a few dryer sheets to prevent static cling.

I put blue painters tape on all the edges and pressed hard to make sure it stayed on. I will never use minkie again, lint was all over everything, what a mess!

From my experience working in a quilt shop, when the minky was 30% off, cutting at the minky counter all day. Yes, using the vacuum along the edges works wonders. If you can roll it in the dryer (which she can't), that helps tremendously, too. But the manufacturing instructions say you're not supposed to use a fabric softener on minky.

I was told the anti static dryer sheets are okay but not the liquid fabric softeners.
