It's a lovely quilt. When I think fairies I think magical - like fairy dust or sparkly tiny stars. What about using a metallic thread around the fairy with some tiny stars swirling around. Fairies also make me think of the forest. Maybe to copying the a flower motif already used and leaves in the large open spaces would play on the whole woodland fairy and birds pictured in the quilt.

That is just beautiful. I would echo around the figure, leaves and birds and stipple the rest.

I have no idea about the quilting. I cant express how perfect your wall hanging is for a girly girl. My DGD is exactly the same.
