    That blanket is so beautiful, as well as the story that goes with it. She will always have a memory of her daddy.

    What a touching story behind the reason for the quilt.
    Did you include a note to go with the quilt,would make a nice keepsake.

    I love penguins. They make me smile. Your grand daughter will cherish this blanket - forever to be wrapped in the love of Grandma, and memories of Daddy.

    I am so sorry for the loss of your son (and her daddy). It is something I really cannot imagine. {hugs}

    She's going to love it! You did an excellent job matching the penguins in the seam. And the colors are perfect for a little one. So sorry your son has passed, but it's wonderful that you are connecting them together through this quilt. :thumbup:

    Thank you all for the kind thoughts and kind words. My son was born on Valentine's Day 1985, he died in a car accident exactly 1 wk after his 24th birthday (2/21/2009).

    Trust me, no one would want to put my shoes on in the morning, but I am so blessed that I have my granddaughter.
    I have been collecting fabrics with hearts to make her a quilt and put a picture of him so that she will always have her Daddy with her.

    Again, thank you for the kind words. I am humbled.

    Very sweet. I like the penguins and they remind me of my grandson who does the Happy Feet dance all the time.

    I love Penguins and so does my grand daughter. Is that fleece that you used to tie together?
