Seriously, when I cook, I try to make enough for 2 meals. That gives me more time to quilt.
Or the crockpot which can hold enough for several meals to head for the freezer. I use mine a lot!

I bought an office chair for sewing but sit on a hard chair at the computer (but I'm still on here too much!).

I don't have a designated sewing space so I sew at my dining room table and sit in a hard wooden chair. Or at least I used to.

My computer is in another room and I love to sit here and looks at quilt pictures all day long instead of making my own. The other day I decided to take my nice comfy computer chair to the dining room to sew. Now the hard chair is at my computer and I just can't sit here for too long anymore. I've made seven table runners this week except for the binding. As Charlie Sheen would say - "Winning!"
My sewing area is right next to my computer area, so I just slide my comfy computer chair back and forth. I raise the seat height for the computer and lower it to sew. Works great!

This is the only way, in my book, to get any quilting time without the "guilty time" of thinking I am neglecting my family......of course, I do have teenagers that know how to cook...so that helps too!!!

I kinda did the same thing. I knew I could set in my secretary
chair all day without backaches. It suddenly dawned on me
that one would work at the machine. Love it, I can just
wheel to the side to press, etc. Only paid$20 for it years
    and years ago. Good investment.

Me too, and I love it. I love my sewing room, it is ALL mine, except when the Grandkids come over, then they watch TV in there and the other one plays on the computer, and I am displaced!

I use my computer chair also. It's great , I roll from my sewing table to my computer back to my sewing table to my ironing board.
