    I really love doing strip pieced quilting. I have learned to be "more expressive as I explore" colors, values and have been so surprised at how beautiful some of these string quilts can be. Old pieces of material with fond memories just enhance the thrill of working with these strip pieces. I can create; I can't mess up; I have a finished block in no time, and can actually produce a completer quilt.

    C, I never put my strips in colors but just started doing that so you will see a strip quilt in blocks in color waves pretty soon

    I love it, very striking!!!!still trying to figure out how you did it, the alternate blocks have me confused, but it is amazing.

    I started out with 8 1/2 in. muslin squares as I didn't know what I would be with them...But the I wanted to cut and make triangles and keep one square whole..So that is where I had to figure out to cut the whole squares down to 8 in....But I did it, so now all you have to do is half 8 1/2 squares and cut into triangles and sew back together and half 8in. squares and keep them whole...
