Of course she'll love it, it's your first one and you made it for her, how special is that! I think you did a splendid job and I rally like the decorative stitching you did around the binding.

Very ambitious project for you first. Heck, I applaud the fact that you finished it! Lots of people would have been overwhelmed by the size and abandoned it. Good job

CosyQuilter, I think your quilt is amazing! We're always so critical of ourselves... My first finished project had holes in it, uneven blocks, I almost sure it would fall apart if washed. Seriously! lol But I gave it to my mil anyway, because she was the one who opened the door for me to the wonder world of quilting, and I felt like that one was "hers", mistakes & all. She proudly hung it in a place of distinction in the family room and it's been there ever since. I look at it this way... how else would anyone know that I made it? lol
