I wish the fabric i choose had more colour variation but it's good for my first one. here is the fabrics i have picked out for the next ones.
its not photographing well but it is a really nice teal colour with black and white in it.

Looking at this again, and trying to figure out why I like it so much more than a lot of other OBWs. These characteristics seem key:
1. The spacing between the key elements (in this case, flowers) allows for ease of "eye" as well as variety.
2. The thin black line connecting the elements across the "blank" space creates wonderful connecting elements in the results, adding to the overall design.
3. Lastly (and at least for me, possibly most importantly) the minimal # of colors keeps the results from being too busy. Makes it quite interesting to look at.
