Two bucks apiece--what a deal! You should see the price of those spools in antique shops. They are great decorative items just as they are.

Depending on where you'd hang it I'd put a wire coathanger through it or maybe a wooden dowel attached to something so you could pull your binding off easily?

My friend loves spools. She has about 50 all over the house. Sizes and colors are great. and They make great candle holders.

I have been buying them occasionally over the last 25 years or so. I use some just setting around the house sometimes. The first one I ever got was a gift. It came with a ribbon running through it tied in a bow, and a towel hanging off it (spool on it's side). I use that all these years still. Otherwise they make great candle holders or just decorative items. You got them for a great price! Enjoy them.
