Thank you ladies for such sweet compliments for Emily. When she comes over again, I will share with her. What I did not tell you is that she was in the mountains for two weeks. We had two twin mattresses on the floor end to end. The design wall behind the mattresses. She takes gymnastics. She would flip on the mattresses down to her blocks to sew...flip back...hand them to me to pin...sew them...flip back and put them back on the wall and grab 2 more squares. She was so excited to finally sew all by herself and I laughed pretty much the whole time with all that flipping. I wish I had her energy. She has sewed framing borders since the picture was made and she just has the last borders to sew...picked her border fabrics too. I am scared at this point to let her near my fabric stash. She has been shopping for fabrics since she was about 3+. She actually has quite a little stash going. She will also bed scraps if she sees something she likes. It was so much fun for me to help both my GD's make their first quilt. The other one just has to sew the rows before I post her pictures. She probably will end up with one of my FW's. It is so much fun to see the excitement of teaching a young girl. I did not start until I was 55. Wish I had started when I was young.
