That's funny...I learnt yesterday how to make this block too, but I only had enough to do baby quilt with border using the 5" blocks. It was cool to do but I wouldn't want to make an bigger quilt with this...kind of time consuming getting that middle block line up right before sewing! Maybe if I use and bigger block? Yours turn out very nice!

What I found that helped me get the smaller blocked lined up right was instead of folding the center square in half to form a rectangle, I folded it into fourths and pressed it then unfolded it once, this way I had a clear mark of where the sides should fold when I went to open it up ! It really helped to have a visual mark of where I needed to open !

No LOL, they are a beautiful brown color, they only show up as blue in pictures !

You did good being distracted, we all should be distracted from time to time. Love the easy way to do the window blocks.
