I agree beautiful tote, velcro is OK short term but it is inclined to gather threads etc. why not try a pretty matching button with a loop, effective but not complicated as you can see.

Great tote. Don't be afraid of magnetic closures. Just remember to place some batting behind them. Piece of cake. Get a small pair of pliers which are just for you.

Do you have a photo of the back of your tote where the loop is attached? If I could just see one I don't think I'd be afraid to put one on!

Beautiful bag. You could use velcro for closure and it wouldn't show.
