What I did is similar to what Laura Heine does, however I never took her class so I'm not quite sure what her technique is! I fused my fabric choices with Steam a Seam Lite and then cut out those images and placed them where I thought they looked best over my pattern. I drew my pattern outline lightly with a white pencil on the black fabric. When everything was placed where I wanted it, I ironed the whole piece. Now it's ready to be layered and quilted, or just left as is! The sky's the limit as to your pattern.......enjoy!!
