I just joined this great group, and the first thing I read about was the Brother SE350. I ran out to Walmart during my lunchbreak, and they had one left for $184 so I grabbed it. Thanks everyone for letting us know about this great bargain.

Me too, me too!!!!! Got it at the same price! Love this machine. At first I was so confused trying to use it but now it's easy. I'd been trying to do free motion on my regular machine but the feed dogs don't drop so I'd have to put on that plastic plate, this machine makes it sooooo much easier! I set the speed to slow hit the start button & all I have to concentrate on is my hand motion. I don't have to worry about getting my foot & hands at the same speed. Hopefully soon I will get better so I can move the speed faster. I do need to get the card reader/writer so I can get more embroidery designs off the internet. I know it's not as grand as the ones they use on TV but it makes me feel like I've moved out of the stone ages!

Gail, I know we are not supposed to post buy and sell links, I think.... or maybe I'm just normally mistaken.. but I have been trying to find several of the best price embroidery thread websites. I have my favorites list broken into folders and I had a machine folder, thread folder, fabric folder, how to print your own money folder (I get a lot of requests for copies of that one but you cannot cash a $3.00 bill anywhere) anyway in attemptin to move files and folders from point A to point B due to a new computer, I lost pieces in the middle of A and B. Only me.. only myself can lost half a folder. So anything that you let me know about, maybe you could use the PM thing. I could really use some discounted thread sites as I am doing a lot more embroidery on my machine then ever lately.
    blessings, Blue

I am new here and have a Husqvarna Viking Designer 1 that I use for regular sewing and embroidery. I am excited about trying it for the quilting part. Have any of you used one? I love it for what I have used it for .
