I divorced my ex, but not his family. His mother always walked slowly everywhere she went, and she unfortunately passed gas, often quite loudly, as she walked. None of her family ever seemed to want to slow down and walk along with her when we went out. I loved her, and was never in so much of a hurry that I left her behind. I slowed my pace to match hers.

It's been a long time since she has passed, and been almost 27 years since I married my dh, Larry. My ex doesn't have as many good memories of his mother as I do, because he was always too busy, too much in a hurry, and too wrapped up in himself. I am still on great terms with the rest of his family, because I always took the time to care.

Time is worth more than $$$

Thanks for sharing this. Far too often we rush through each day pushing the world in front of us and forgetting how much suffering and lonelyness there is out there.
