The charms can also be made into 1/2 square triangles, or even cut in half to make 2 1/2 " (very short) strips

I have used this one (Jenny Doan from Missouri Start Quilt Co.) She has a great tuorial on the Disappearing 9 Patch. I made one and everyone loves it. There are several different ways to cut the squares for different looks. I love this one.

I made a tote bag by Jenny's pattern for my granddaughter. It was such a hit that I am going to make two more this weekend. I got the quilt I made from Jenny's Falling or Tumbling Charms back from the LAQ last week. That was a quilt that was fun to make and making it took little time. I love the quilts Jenny makes with charms.

about jenny's falling or tumbling charm quilt. i wonder if we could sorta do it like a 9 patch. only the middle row make it a 5.5 inch x 9'' strip of white. haven't thought it completely thru, but then cut it like you would a 9 patch. i think that would work. not sure about how arranging them would work that way or not. anyone done it, and think it would?

or does every white strip have to be placed and sewed just like jenny instructed?

I made the Falling Charms and it was ALOT of white. If I made another one I would prolly use 2 inch strips instead of 2 1/2. You could even use 1 1/2 inch. The quilt would be smaller. Most of my quilts are for charity and I just do not like too much white as it shows the dirt so easily.
