I like the size of that make-up bag. Just right for a lipstick and mirror. Cute indeed! No wonder your Mom asked you to make some for her friends.....nice gifts and she can brag, too!!!!!

I use 10" x 8" piece for the bag, with a 7" zipper. To make it "boxy" I sew across the pointy end @1 1/2" in. I'm sorry for the non-technical jargon but I don't know how else to describe it. Lol!

If you google boxy bag several sites will pop up. I used a tutorial on a blog called experimentalk.
