I see the black triangles, though I don't see the logs after that. Also there's all the curved seams ... some PPing as part of the pattern, perhaps?

twisted log cabins don't use rectangular logs - they come out wedge shaped - and I think they are PP-ed

Thanks for the link .... IMHO that's really stretching the log cabin label!!!

I saw this same quilt IRL at one of the fairs, and now wish I'd taken a closer look and perhaps found the owner to learn more.

I first saw this pattern on Simply Quilts way back when.
you can find it Google.

I am sure you can better under stand if saw the instructions
right from the com
I also found it in Barbara T. Kaempfer's "Log cabin with a Twist"
lots of new ideas. hope this helps need more help let me know
