    "the STORY" is part of the quilt & makes it so much more! MY GFG is still not a finished top (close) I started @ work when I was pregnant 36 years ago ! one of these days, I'll complete ITS STORY!

    Wow are grandmothers must have been friends. I inherited one of those also, except mine was still in pieces and just had some of the flowers put together in an order that I could never finish that way. SO I took it apart and took the rest of the little pieces made the flowers and now and just appliqueing them to squares. I am taking 6 at a time making a small lap quilt and giving them to my mom and her sisters for Christmas. If I finish in time. Yours looks amazing. I truly love the total affect, it is hard work though... good job
