i am so sorry for the loss of your husband. You have made a beautiful quilt for your niece. Maybe if you have any scraps you could include them in a remembrance quilt with some of shirts.

Beautiful quilt and label! I too am sorry for your loss, but bet your hubby is smiling down on you and proud you got the quilt done! Some women that I have had in therapy find it helps to talk to the missing spouse .... you could do this like you used to when you are designing and quilting!

So it was hard for me to finish this quilt but I knew I had to as it is for my great niece's (Shelby) wedding this August. Shelby has selected purple and grays for their bedroom. The fabric is one of Downton Abbey collections and I just love the colors and patterns. I hope Shelby & her soon to be husband, Toby, love it as much as my late husband did. I only wish he could have seen it finished.
I know how it was for you. I am in the same situation . I lost my husband of 47 yrs. on May 29th and I haven't been able to sew yet. I really do feel your pain and applaud you for making this beautiful quilt. I am sure your husband would be proud of you.💕

I am so sorry for your terrible loss but you have made such an amazing tribute to your late husband by finishing this absolutely beautiful quilt for your niece. I am sure they are going to cherish it for many years to come.

Sorry for your loss, but the quilt is beautiful. At least your DH saw it on the design wall. It will be a lovely wedding gift.

First, let me tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Your quilt is really beautiful, especially with the Downton Abbey fabrics. My DS and DDIL watch that show and have asked me to make them a quilt for their new king-size bed, so I was considering using some of that fabric in the quilt. After seeing your beautiful quilt made with those fabrics, although I was considering making a Dresden Plate quilt, I know that I'll have to use some of those fabrics in their quilt.
