We used to have a store like that near us called Fabrics and Findings that was set up like that. I sure do miss it. You could find anything and everything. I'm travelling through there this fall - maybe I can get my DH to stop for a couple of hours!
Love your new additions to your stash. Can't wait to see what you will do with them!

It is so so hard to quit looking there.. It helps to have an idea what you want.. I always wind up buying what I went for.. plus at least two fabric that were Yelled at me as I walked by them.. you know those pieces that just say HELP and you can not leave without them

It was huge, fabric for as far as you could see. It is an old grocery store, set up warehouse style.
They were busy the whole time we were there.

They tear the fabric instead of cutting it which is fine, but it sure got my DH's attention as he had never seen that done before!

Prices were not bad. Less than the LQS.

First group of pics is of the store and the different areas.

Then some close ups of some of the fabric and how they have it displayed. (I did like the way they had it displayed - you could touch, it and hold it out to see it without take the bolt out of place.)

Last will be the pics of what I actually bought.
Please wait for all to be posted. O.K. Now you can look.
Enjoy and don't drool too much.

Glad you found Mary Jo's. My daughter buys ALL her quilting material there. Have actually seen tour buses there on several occasions. Women from all over NC and SC come there for their sewing/quilting needs. The material is VERY reasonably priced, as well as their different battings. It's located in Gastonia, NC at Gaston Mall, just off I-85. Very easy to find.

Happy shopping!

Quilting Granny- I too, am so glad you made it to Mary Jo's.
I just loved that store! My sense of touch was indeed satisfied with the feel of all those beautiful fabrics. My mother had told me about Mary Jo's years ago so this year we decided to make that part of our trip south. She said the prices were very low some years ago but I think they are still reasonable, especially for the quality. Didn't you love those batiks and the Veggies? I got some of the veggies for a "jars" wallhanging.Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. What a great experience. Their mail order is so helpful. If someone is worried about the quality, DON'T.
Only the best. Cannot wait to go back.
