I am not a fast piecer because I put everything up on the design wall (it is behind my chair) and only take off one item at a time -- and I still will sometimes turn the blocks around.

The worst thing I ever had happen was when I was quilting a quilt using my home sewing machine. I was doing really well, it looked great an I was a happy camper. I had minkee on the back -- when I turned it over, the Minkee had picked up a piece of fabric that I thought was well out of reach of the quilt. It too was well quilted in. I have discovered that reverse quilting is worse than reverse piecing (LOL).

Sometimes it is just better to turnoff the machine, crawl back in bed and pull the covers over your head. Things will be better when you get up again.

There are times when it just doesn't pay to sew. I know when I keep making mistakes, I have to quilt sewing and do something else.

Hate days like that. I've taken out what I thought was the wrong seam before, sewed it up and took it out again. When actually I could have just turned the block around.

Some days it just does not pay to get up - if it goes wrong once, it may repeat itself again! Just walk away from it and think "tomorrow is another day"................ and it usually works..........

After two days of sweating blood over a new bag that I resized to make it larger, I finished it tonight , how wonderfull until I picked it up, sewed a handle on backwards , I must leave it that way as it has too much finish work to redoo it , besides no one will know it except me , what a day and it is only 110 here today

sorry you had so much trouble. The only thing I sew when I'm tired is crumb blocks, really hard to mess those up.
