You might try contacting Rowenta to see if they will repair your iron. Might be worth checking into!!

I have one of those!!!! Never thought to use for sewing. It is sitting in basement covered up with a blanket. Guess I will give it a second look was given to me years ago.

I used to have one of those too, it was our first dining room table when we were just married. I sold it in a garage sale a few years later. Sure do wish I had it now.

Great find. I love the table. Don't put any water in the iron. Use it as a dry iron. You can spritz your fabric with starch or water then use the dry iron.
