I'm so sorry for each one's loss who have lost family members and dear friends. I really have no one in my family interested in my "stuff". I have told my DS not to let my DH throw away or burn my stuff ( we live in the country and he burns fallen branches and debris from the property). He is more of a neat freak than I am and he likes things put away and not cluttered. My DS know my machines, notions, tools and such cost me a good amount of money. This thread has shown me that I need to make lists of what to do with everything and the value of things that I have...

I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. I lost my BFF 3 months ago. Her DH told me she wanted me to have any fabric and quilting items I wanted. Her daughter doesn't sew or quilt, but decided she wanted to learn. So she kept the 2 sewing machines. I spent the day after her funeral going thru her stuff and packing it up. It was like visiting with her ,laughing over some things I found, and crying too. But I have her stash at home, still packed up. I did finish one UFO. I will complete the other and make the quilts she had in mind and give them to the people she meant them for. We talked about this last fall. It's hard, you will miss her every day, but you can visit in your memories. Take care

You're kind...my first thought was that he wasn't a happy man and blamed that on his wife. I hope it was grief; that he couldn't stand to look at her quilting room because of the grief he felt.

That is a wonderful legacy for Emmalee and from her grandmother! I'm sure Grandma is smiling down on her from heaven.
