Thank your sweet husband for the instructions. Lucky to have a such a handy husband. I have the same kind of table that I am sewing on, like you I love the large space. Also found mine on cragslist. Now to get my sweet husband to make a it into a sewing table.

I copied this for my records and reformatted it so it would fit on a couple pages (sometimes copying things from the internet formats them weirdly)
Here's the PDF version if anyone wants it.

That was a great idea. I used to use my old kitchen table to sew on, as it was sturdy and had a large enough surface to hold and support the quilt when I was machine quilting, even king size quilts. I miss it as sit was too big to bring with us from the house to the apt.

This may sound dumb but how would you change front loading bobbin? Would you need to lift machine out each time or could it just be tipped back?

Would love to know how you did that.

And let me tell you even small sewing tables cost an arm and a leg and are not all that sturdy!, so I changed my search to Craigslist, and after a little design brainstorm with my hubby he said yeah find a wood table and I can do it. Well 30 bucks later I did. A big kitchen table! I love it!! Especially for fmq! Table Space is essential for me so this is perfect! Anyone wants to know how we did it just let me know! Happy stitching everyone!!
