Atlanta, Ga Official Get Together 5/29/11
#72
All ATTENDEES ATTENTION: Sarah is sweet enough to allow us access to the class area which is in the basement behind the shop at 12:30, one half hour before the shop opens officially!! So if anyone wants to get there at 12:30 come on...
If the parking area behind the shop is full, you can park in front of the business next door and walk down the hill or go thru the shop after 1 PM. Please don't park in front of the shop so her regular customers can't get in. Thanks.
Also: Is there anyone who wants to do a demo of any technique who has not spoken up yet? Any PP's, Applique interests, FMQ'ers with tips, anyone who know anything and is willing to share it?

I have a pattern I've been trying to convert to paper-piecing for a 3 inch block. The pattern is 10 inch with 6 inch alternate so should be able to do the math easy enough but the intersections are too tough to do straight PP and am looking for someone to help me break it up into separate segments that can then be assembled.

Well we can't promise, but we'll try. I think at least one person said she was pretty good with PP. Is it a block from another famous quilter or one of your own? Have you tried to do it in EQ?

This sounds like so much fun!
Greenini, thank you so much for the invitation, but I have other obligations for that weekend.
I will keep watching this thread for pictures and updates of all the fun you will be having.
Hopefully I will be able to attend the next get together. Maybe I could carpool with someone from South GA, I'm in North FL, about 6hrs out of ATL.

Thank you for your PM invitation. I am not an active member of the QB any more and so I had not seen this post. I do still live in GA (I am just north of Macon) but I will not be able to attend on May 29th. I hope you all have a wonderful time.
