Thank you! 2 or 3 from northeast Ohio have welcomed me. Do you all know each other? I am hoping to get some good ideas from this group!
Not that I know of - but it would be nice to kinda find someone. I did find a member of our quilt guild on here but believe it or not I didn't know her personally - our guild has over 80 members and after 3 years i am finally putting names to faces. But there is a wealth of knowledge in that guild - ages range from around 8 (yes!) to ?????

Welcome from California where we have too darn many stop lights and lots of quilters. My parents came here from nowhere's in Iowa and Missouri but that was ninety years ago. My Pop wanted to go back but Mom loved the cities. I would love to see your home and drive without stop lights. Welcome to the group.

Not really close by! Joann - maybe 25 minutes away at the mall. We used to have The Piecegoods Shop in downtown Wheeling - 8 miles. Does anybody remember it? Used to love that store! And then there is Ben Franklin - 20 minutes but a small fabric dept.. I am the type that likes to be able to shop within my own town and not have to "commute." Wouldn't it be nice if all of us had a local fabric shop in our own towns. A lot has changed with the world since I was a child. And one of them is that there are too many cars! :D :-D

I know what you mean. I also live in a little town. My house is in one county and my mailbow across the road is in a different county. We don't even have a red light. Use to live in Columbus but needed to get away from so many people. That is just me.
