I know I'm not suppose to talk quilting in this section. But it's lovely to set out on the porch and quilt, applique, or do any craft and listen to the birds, watch the hummers and butterflies. And smell the aroma of the flowers. So delightful! And flower gardens have given a lot of people inspiration to make quilts from what they see.

I do my small quilting projects in the winter. My frames are up at the other house where I have plenty of room. I hope to show more pics soon of some crafts I've done.

Laughing!!! Too funny!!! It's a wonder you didn't run up on a bee nest with your nose stuck in those bushes.

Looks like it might rain today. But if it doesn't, I want to get some new pics of my wysteria now. The blooms are hanging down and opening up.
I have never trimmed my wysteria back. The only thing I've done is cut back shoots that get out in the arch where you walk. I keep that open. I'm glad to know it will stop blooming if trimmed back. My husband was going to do that this fall.

Oh barnbum, they do! The yard smells like lilacs. I sat out on the porch yesterday evening and just enjoyed the aroma. And listened to the bees. I've never seen so many bees as we have ths year. You go stand under the biggest crabapple trees and all you hear is a big hum!!!

I have columbines with buds on them ready to bloom. I did see one that white and lavendar blooms out already. I need to move that one. It gets hidden under the orange poppies as they get bigger.

I just planted tons of seeds this week. I like to make potted plants of annuals for the decks and front porch. A friend just just send me some seeds to plant. I've never had these before. There's two colors of Datura. One is purple and white, the other one is yellow. I can't wait to see these grow. And by the looks of the sticker pods the seeds are in, they will make great dried flowers for my crafts too!

Right around 20 acres snicktrain. And the biggest part of it is mowed. Thank goodness for the radius mower. Or it would take forever to mow. We do have some wooded sections also.
I have some wildflower seeds that were sent to me for my birthday. We are going to plant them outback in the back pasture. They will be pretty back there.
