Have you all seen the absolutely beautiful batics at Hancock Fabrics? I havn't seen fabric that excited me this much in a long time, I just went in today and purchased 3 yards of four different colors. I am in love with these teals and purples! Somebody stop me!!! I need an intervention...or maybe the couch with you all on it!!!

Or least suggest a pattern that lends itself to these lovely batiks...
LMBO I can't help with an intervention, I would be your enabler!!!.....I am hopelessly addicted to batiks....  :D:D:D

Ladies and Gentlemen . . . I am so happy to present the fabulous IRIS block I received from Kgoodhand. She designed the block herself, made with lots of little pieces. I love it!
I also love all the other goodies she sent, especially the Canadian snowman ornament. The other surprises include another beautiful ornament, a cute little book of chocolate recipes, and a chocolate Santa (which was gone immediately after the photo shoot ). Thanks so much, Kendra.

I tried a faux-cathedral window block from the Youtube tutorial this afternoon. Doing it in blues and if it turns out, I'll send it to my January partner. So far so pretty.

That is one of the reasons why I like this swap so much. It gives me an opportunity to try new patterns and new color waves. I have some plans in reserve and sometimes, doing just one square tells me that I really don't like the pattern well enough for a whole quilt. Or the trial block screams YES! and goes on the UFO list.
