Virginia, the Egyptian Virgin
#1
Could not pass this one up, even though I had to drive an extra 150 miles to get it. New, fresh from the factory, with original factory tag. Seller had no history on the item. Why Virginia? I had just driven back from West Virginia this weekend and clicked on a CL page other than my local. It popped up so purtty! Sent the seller an e-mail because of the lateness of the hour, and crossed my fingers. My morning mail had a reply from him, and we made arrangements. Met him at noon and he passed me the goods, I handed him all small, unmarked bills. LOL (They were from my sewing tip jar.) She is a virgin. Original factory sewing test strip still in place, hinges and book still sealed in plastic, factory tag still in place. Machine perfect. A few scuffs on the case. I have a table, but it is more modern, and won’t do this lady justice. More Shopping!

I am thinking with that tag and all the Made in Taiwan stuff that this machine is a reproduction. New machine, looking like a vintage. I believe that Singer still manufactures treadles like this as well for developing countries where electricity is not available everywhere.
