Homespun Treasures is located one block northeast of the SR 9 and SR 20 intersection. Owners Karen and Steve Eash renovated the 1920’s building five years ago and moved the quilting business from its former location. This year will mark their 9th year in business. The new location provides space for a private classroom that allows for a variety of ongoing classes for area quilters. There are always class projects on display from past and present classes as well as kits available. A long arm quilting service is also available at the store to help complete those projects.

Emmatown Fabrics and Gift Shop is located in the tiny town of Emma, just a short drive from Shipshewana. The store is owned by Richard and Mary Lambright who are members of an Amish Church. The store which opened in 2003 as part of and existing furniture store offered fabric, gift and household items, in 2006 the furniture was replaced with groceries and finally in 2007 Mary realized her lifelong dream and expanded the fabric store to include quilt fabric. Gas lights illuminate the store that offers the type and style of fabric that is used by the local women of the Amish faith.

Last year me and my 2 friends went. spent 2 days there and had a real ball. If you are going there from Ohio WATCH for Garage sales.Just when we crossed the border we found lots of sales . And filled the van before we even got to one shop. LOL!!! Couldn't believe the bargains. Fabric, batting patterns and other treasures

I have set up a meet and greet for June 24, 2011 Friday night at 6:00 pm at 5 & 20 Restaurant, Shipshewana, Indiana so we can eat dinner, please bring show and tell and we will have demonstrations.
