    My SIL gave me some bulbs that looked like turnip roots. This is the gorgeous flower that grew from that bulb. The person who gave the bulbs to her said that these grow wild in Florida. Does anyone know the name of it? It grew SO fast you could almost see it moving while watching it grow.

    Sorry I don't know and I just asked my husband and hes from florida if he knew and he said no.You will find someone on there that does know.:)

    Looks a lot like Allium to me, but I've never seen a red one. I have several in my yard, but they are purple. Look here and see if this is what your plant looks like:

    Yes it's an allium. Ours were always purple growing up.

    Its pretty. Will it only grow in Fl?
