Can anyone recommend a hotel, maybe in walking distance to the Long Beach Convention Center that isn't outrageously expensive.

The Hyatt Regency Long Beach is $189.00
The Westin Long Beach is $169.00

I'm hoping some of you have attended what I hear is one of the best quilt shows and know the area and the available hotels.

    Thanks!!!!

I have been to the show but I drive down from Camarillo. It takes us about 80-90 min to get there so we don't stay in a hotel.

I live nearby in Anaheim so I don't stay at any hotels in Long Beach. The quilt show is fabulous and very comparable to the Road to California...if you have ever been to that one. There are great restaurants near the Long Beach Convention Center that hubby and I go to a lot. PM me if you want any recommendations.

Sorry, dates must have gotten messed up. Our LQS gave us the wrong dates apparently. Either way, I'll be there!

For those of you that live nearby...do you just go for one day, or do you go more than one day? I'm wondering if I should just drive up for the day. I am not planning on taking any classes, will look at some of the quilts on display, and will want to spend some time in the vendor mall.

I have only been once and I stayed out in Irvine area, still not cheap but less than LB. I took classes that year. This year I am just driving up for the day and will see what I can, but just can't afford to stay either, gas is going to be bad enough. I hope to car pool with a buddy or two.

I just go for the day, but I have not taken any classes.

I have gone to Road to California several times over the Friday/Saturday. I'm usually there with a group of 4 or 5 and we get a hotel close by.
