It's not really very big, but we all have a lot of fun and laugh a lot. It's our only fund raiser for the year, and we use some of the money to buy batting for the quilts we make and donate to Childrens Services of Alaska, just our way of giving a much needed hug to the chrildren who are removed from they're home for one reason or an other.

Would love to come but unfortunately a little far to drive. Do you have a Nancy Durand in your group? If you come this way, be sure to let me know as I am down on the peninsula. Post some pics of the show.

Sadly, no! Nancy is up in the Wasilla area, but does come to Bear Paw now and then.

Hi Sparky, I have a friend in Palmer, not sure if that is close or not, but he moved there last year from here in Texas. I am sending him the info. He enjoyed our show here in Shiner when he was here. He has a couple of quilts and wall hangings I made for him while he was here. Good luck with the show!

I still remember the quilt retreat at Denali Park I went to in the late 80s or early 90s. Wonderful trip to visit parents and a great trip to Denali.

I am trying to get hubby to take me to Fairbanks in Feb. for a Road Scholar program since it is where I went to college. We can stay in Anchorage at my brother's house and enjoy the winter. I think I am one of the few who really enjoyed winter in Alaska.

Just told my DH to book me a flight and he just sat and laughed at me ~ I really would like to go - sounds like a great time. Oh well can't make it but sure would love to see any pictures of the show. Thanks for the offer.
