my dh bought me the red eye a while back and it was just in a so so cabinet..
then he bought a treadle that needed rescued for 40 bucks.. (this one had a machine , 1906 model 27) we used the red eye in this one because the shuttle bobbins don't hold much thread.. then he saw a treadle cabinet (no machine) sitting at a garage sale..it was in really bad shape.(10 bucks). so being the dh that he is, he took them both apart and put one back together to look like this !!!
of course he sanded and stained and glued to make this beauty a piece of art !!
It is now a 7 drawer cabinet !

I haven't cleaned up the black yet.. I am suffering from back/hip pain and when it lets up.. I will be down there shinning this baby up !!

Wow - he's a keeper! I have a Redeye but mine is a hand-crank. Unfortunately I don't have room for a treadle table right now but would love to get one someday.

This is beautiful - do you use it? I think I would put it in my front room with neon arrows pointing to it, your machine and cabinet are beautiful!

A gorgeous piece of furniture, I hope you get lots of hours of use from it. Don't you just love having a resident cabinet maker? I do too.
