I've almost completed one mini quilt (about 4"x6") ... no batting/backing yet. It could be used as a mug rug but I'm wondering how it might be framed. My understanding is that it should not be put under glass. Should I make a border a little bigger to hold it in a frame? or ???

I've done it several ways. Here are some great tutorials on 5 different ways to frame small quilts by Lyric Kinard.

I have done this before. They are very cute framed. I'm sure you can find a tute that will help you. I found the hardest part finding a frame.

I frame small quilts; put spacers between the quilt and glass and it will be fine. Glass helps keep dirt off of your treasure.

I think framing a mini quilt is a perfect idea. Who says art has to be big and why not something quilted or even just pieced. Oksewglad, love your mini quilt. I had missed it when you posted. :-D
