I seen pictures posted of some mylar embroidery
and there are a few questions I would like to ask.
1) how hard is doing the mylar embroidery?
(read over the direction on emb.library, but still not sure about it)
2) where do you get all the different colors of mylar?
3) other than emb. library do you get your designs from any
other websites?
4) have you ever used metallic thread in the mylar designs?
does is work or not?
Those are all the question I an think of at the moment.
Thanks in advance for any and all information you can give me.

It is not hard to do the mylar embroidery. i did get my patterns form embroidery library.
you can get mylar from the dollar store in the gift wrap section.
i have not used metallic thread , but i think you could, becuase they sew out just like any other design.
i change the way i sewed mine out. i did not cut my mylar in the shape of the design, i just cut a square that is a little biger than the design and it worked great. to heck with all that extra cutting. than i cut it off when done.
hope this heps u

I tried to do some mylar embroidery today, needless
to say I guess I did something wrong or used the wrong
stabilizer.
I use a tear away, but when it was time to change the
thread it had so many "holes" that it would not stitch
out the second color, much less the third color.
Maybe I just need to play around some more and try
to find something that works for me.

that part of my biggest problem was using tear away stabilizer
but not sure what else to try other than a medium/heavy cut
away, but I HATE working with the cut away stuff.
