We will be gone for 2 years. I am cutting kits to take with me. I will also take some yardage that is grouped for kits that I just won't have time to get cut.

The company will store the rest of it, so when I unpack I'll have wonderful surprises that I forgot that I had. They will pack everything for us. Thank goodness because his shop has as much or more stuff than is in my sewing room! And of course there is the rest of the house.

One of the worst things is that everything has to be put on a valued inventory list. Oh my word, what a chore! I haven't started that yet. I may end up taking more of the household stuff to Goodwill!

Thanks for the nice comments about my dream room & for the offer to house-sit!

wow, between the lovely room and the STASH, and the buddies, I would find it so hard to go. Are you taking your stash with you? that would ease the pain.

New experiences are wonderful, so just enjoy, and remember what you have to come home to.

Ditto! Thank you for posting all of the pictures. I enjoyed looking at your room, fabric, and storage solutions. A bright spot in my day :-)

Our next door neighbors are in Saudi Arbia now. They have been there for about 5 months and are coming home in 3 years.

They did not sell their house, it is here waiting on them when they return.

Good luck with your trip. I couldn't imagine making that move.

It would be hard to leave this room as well as the orkshop for your DH If you are just leaving for a few months is there anyway you could just keep the place for that short of time? What are you going to do with all that fabric - I would imagine it would take alot to take take with you!!! You could always sell it here There are many of us that would enjoy it lol Good luck on your venture!!

Sad to say my first thought was that I would miss that room more than family!!! Then I smacked myself ;-) That's a great idea to take some premade kits to play around with. Time slips away so fast, you will be home unpacking all of those treasures in no time and it will feel like Christmas. Safe travels & happy returns!

Too bad you have to give all that up. It will take a long time to replace it. Can you have someone store it for you?
