    Default Longarm Bobbin Pigtail

What's the purpose of the pigtail on the longarm bobbin? Do you use it?

I haven't used it, but I think that you would use it to add more tension to the bobbin thread, just as you do on a DSM.

I don't even know what a pigtail is? I have a Gammill and don't recall anything about a pigtail.

Please tell more about a pigtail. I have had two HQ's and have never heard the term.

My Tin Lizzie seems to have a better stitch when I put the thread through the pigtail. Dealer said do whatever works best for you.

The pigtail is a little spiral thingy on the bobbin, about half way in the open area. It looks like you thread the bobbin regularly then put the thread through the pigtail thingy.

I have a Tin Lizzie and have been having tension problems. I was wondering if this would help. Sounds like lisalovesquilting gets a better stitch using it. I haven't used it but think I will give it a try.
