    Default Casting Shadows top

Am working on a quilt that will be a wedding gift for my daughter's friend - in Germany!

This is from the book "Casting Shadows". I've added the filmstrip border. Lots of fun things about this quilt for me
    - the shadows - light - dark variations - mean to me the ups and downs that life will bring - how much bright the light becomes after the dark
    - there are 42 'shadow' squares - any Douglas Adams fans out there? This is the answer to life, the universe, and everything
    - the filmstrip signifies all the fun moments that will come for the young couple to cherish

The quilt is awaiting inspiration now (and a little practice time) - haven't decided how I want to quilt it yet.
