Default Seminar with Karen Stone

I am taking a seminar with Karen Stone this coming Feb.at a retreat in Jacksonville, Fl. Don't really know much about this teacher but I liked the pictures that were posted describing her class.
Is there anyone out there that can give me some feed back, good or bad about this teacher?
Would really appreciate it as this is kind of expensive if there is anything I should know in advance?
I could also change the class to one of the other teachers if there are a lot of negative information.
Thanks

I only know of her quilt "Cinco de Mayo" as I had seen it on display at my LQS (her actual quilt - not a repro). Googled some of her other works and the words "complicated", "technical", "detailed", and "colorful" all come to mind.

Her quilts are amazing. I don't know anything about her teaching style but she has done this for a while - since 1993 publishing her own books. Go for it....I am sure you will learn something great. Let us know.

Do you like, or want to learn paper piecing? That's what her stuff looks like to me.

If you learn nothing else from Karen, you will learn to look at color differently. That alone would be worth her class, but she is really wonderful and you will enjoy her.

I have taken a class from her and our guild also had her present a program. Both were very good. She is funny and very down to earth.
