I have a friend who does a lot of mosaic (with glass) but she can't find any type of message board where she can share ideas. Anyone know of any boards....or maybe someone here is involved in mosaics. Thank you.

Try Googling "glass mosaic forum" to see some different options. I don't know enough about what specifically she is looking for to suggest something. Also try searching for a group at groups.yahoo.com ; they have some mosaic groups and some glass groups.

I don't do mosaics but I saw a neat mosaic solar light this week. It was a clear round globe about 6inches around that a solar light on top. The solar light collected energy during the day and then the whole globe glowed through the mosaic glass at night . Very pretty.
