Default Chicken fabric placemats

I made these placemats out of my leftover chicken fabric (some may remember my attic windows chicken quilt). The quilting on these is terrible--I've discovered that quilting on my sewing machine kind of bores me--but I post the photos, including the close up, because I think the idea of quilting that looks-- is supposed to look--like chicken wire is a cute idea to go with the chicken motif.

I finished these mainly because I started them. I'm trying to make myself complete things I've already begun before I'll let myself go back to piecing, which, I think, is what I really like doing best.

I think they're cute, and the slightly wonky chicken wire quilting just enhances the design.

These are just too darn cute. I appreciate the fact that you showed the quilting up close. I don't have the desire to quilt my own things and the fact that you do and show it teaches me a lot. Great job. You can be proud of your work. I like the idea of finishing things too. I have been trying to do that too, and believe it or not I feel like I am getting more done. Go for it!

Thanks! You're generous. But I kind of thought that myself. They do have a kind of quirky charm, I think.
