Default My Sunflower Patch

I finally finished this quilt on the weekend after starting it three years ago for my daughter and her husband as a wedding gift and who have now been married just over two years. The quilt did not have a pattern, but was derived from a lap quilt my daughter and I saw in a LQS while I had her out shopping to show me what style of quilt she would like and picked this...sort of. Being a hand quilter I attempted to reproduce the quilt but with my own touch of hand quilting. Long story short, I learned a lot about what to do and not to do in the making of this quilt. I developed carpal tunnel before I could finish it by hand and therefore ended up with a 'hybrid' of both a hand and a machine quilted quilt. They haven't seen it yet, I'll be shipping it to them next week. I hope they like the end product and the pillows I put together to go with it.

A treasure from mom. It is very lovely. I've seen several quilts which have both, Hq and machine. Best of luck to the young couple.

Love the circles with the crosshatching. It is a nice contrast to the squares. The quilt looks great. Love the colors.

Wonderful color play & great quilting! Congrats. Oh, if they don't like it, I have first dibs, alright!

Very pretty quilt. Sorry about your physical ailment. That has ended hand quilting for many people.
