Default From Don-isewman-Picked up another quilt today

I picked up another quilt from my long arm lady friend today. She called me to come and look at her new sewing room, her husband built on to there house. WOW & WOW. Very nice The pattern is called "GEMINI GEM", out of a magazine--50 best blocks/Quilters newsletter magazine. I'll post a picture of the block I used, and the quilt block, I used, with a little change in the block. Instead of useing 1/2" sq triangles, I used a solid red sq. This is the block I got for my pattern. You can see the red sq's, I used instead of the 1/2 sq triangles. Here's a picture of some of the block's, and a partial border. Here is a full view of the quilt, with a better picture of the border. The border is something, I more or less played around with. Take care everyone. Don-isewman

Wow. With your color choices it does not look like the same block as the pattern. That is what has intrigued me with quilting. So many looks with the change of colors. And the border sets it off nicely.

Hello Don. Just wanted to tell you , you have a creative mind that puts things together. Your border just picks the block from the center of the quilt and it all goes together so well. I really like it.
