Lost the instructions for Scrap Wrapper....
As impossible as it may sound... somewhere in my sewing room the instructions are hiding..... All I really need to know is how wide to cut the strips for this scrap wrapper tool to make a rug for my sewing room. If anyone happens to know I would be most appreciative if you could tell me. I have spent all the time that I am going to in order to find the missing instructions - and at this point I am ready to make those strips - as wide or as narrow as I darn well please....LOL!!!
Thanks a bunch -

Apparently a scrap wrapper is a tool that you wrap strips of fabric around to make rugs. You sew down thewrapped strips and then slide them off, kind of like how you make fringe. I Googled but it didn't say how wide to make the strips but I think you could do any width you wanted.

That is a Cheryl Phillips item. You could send her an email and ask her! http://www.phillipsfiberart.com/

If I am not mistaken as to what you want, there used to be a Singer attachment that looked like a tuning fork that you could use to sew strips of fabric into rugs? I think you could also adapt a hairpin crochet tool to do the same. There was a post on this board not long ago regarding the same tool so perhaps the search is to use the Board. Good luck.

If you will send me your snail mail address, I would be happy to send you a copy of the directions for the "Wrapper" Rugs. I have the directions for the rugs. The directions say "Strips may be cut from 1/2" to 1-1/2" wide, depending on the look you want. The rugs featured in the instructions were all made using 1"strips."
