Default Winter Wind

I hesitated to post this little (37”X27”) wall hanging because this is a ‘trial and error’ quilt. A smaller version of the quilt I wanted to do because one of my wiser sisters said I should try a smaller one first and see how that turns out. Thanks DS! I doubt I will make the larger bed quilt now. I discovered that when you quilt this densely on a domestic machine, you turn and twist it so much that I tends to get distorted and ‘rippled’. I had to block it to make it lie flat and that seems to have worked out. Also, I used very cheap poly batting with a fairly high loft that I did not like at all. So here is ‘Winter Wind’.

Dang! Hours of quilting on this little beauty! I love it and it does remind me of those cold days of winter. You should show it in your local quilt show. It is amazing.

Does anyone remember the first Disney cartoon with the little bird during a storm? It made me remember that cartoon immediately.
