Default Whaddya think of this blue White?

I think I need an intervention. This rising addiction to old blue sewing machines has GOT TO STOP. I was just browsing Craigslist tonight and...

Check this out .What do you all think?

PS I called about the Modernage for $20 today. As I thought, it was a man. Says he doesn't know how old it is. He "picked it up with other junk" . Says his wife sews and it ran for her . He kept the convo about as short as the texts messages he sent ."Come see it if you want. I'll be here."

I love my vintage Whites and 1.3 amps is a very powerful motor. I'd get this over the Modern age if you had to pick only one as it has more features. And a strong motor that makes a noticeable difference sewing heavy materials.

Zozee? You should BLOCK me from your QB page, if that is possible. I am terrible and horrible and all I will -ever- do is enable your problem.

Get 'em both! How gorgeous the classic Blue White will look next to its modern juke-box zig-zag stitcher sister.

I hanker for a juke-box machine. ;-)

I promised myself only two more machines; a pink juke box and a green Grasshopper.

Do you believe me?

;-)

Nice one Zozee. Dicker with him. If there are scratches on the bed from the foot controller use that as a bargaining tool, LOL. Works for me.

Oh wait, I just noticed $50 price tag. Not that it is not "worth it", however, if you're talking about blowing some lunch munney on the Great Blue Classic or spending $50 on the JukeBox, I'd find it easier to go with the Classic.

(Don't worry that dude is short on words; a lot of people are just not chatty.)

Jukeboxes do come up for $25-$30ish.

But regardless, they are both very beautiful machines. Keep us posted!

Me too, the final thing to do is to go QB cold turkey. That would be a CDIH. The only thing that will limit you will be space, money and becoming more selective as your collection grows.

Cecilia and Caroline, you crack me up--and enable me. A terrible combination that's hard to refuse. I think I might need to go cold turkey on the QB. I never gave vintage machines a thought until about 3 weeks ago, and now I obsess over them? I need help.

Wrong place and people to come to Zozee. I am a sewing machine addict and I have 106 vintage and antique sewing machines and am very clever about hiding and storing them. DH thinks I have about 20 or 25, I will let him continue thinking that.
